07.14.2006: 48 Hour Elevate Film Festival

In July of 2006, the second annual Elevate Film Festival will open at the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre in Hollywood.  Filmmakers have just 48 hours to make documentaries, narrative shorts, and music videos that shatter stereotypes, unify cultures and elevate consciousness.

Elevate Film Festival is the first 48-hour festival to challenge the international film community to create works of social and global importance.  Created by filmmaker Mikki Willis and his team at Elevate Films, the intention of the festival is to inspire artists to work in a positive direction and to bring awareness to organizations and individuals who are making a difference in our world.  Elevate Films is a multi-cultural, non-denominational, non-political group of inspired filmmakers who simply understand the power of their medium.
